Description
This photo was taken at the Morning Glory Pool along the Biscuit Basin Trail in Yellowstone National Park, while on vacation with my family in June of 2024. We started our day by visiting Old Faithful and walking the trails from Old Faithful viewing other geysers and hot springs.
At the Morning Glory Pool this day, many other visitors were present. I had been looking down at my camera and as I raised my head I saw this majestic bison silently grace by the pool. For a split second it seemed as though I was the only one who noticed, while the other visitors were still preoccupied with their own cameras and phones. Then, voices finally rose up, recognizing the animal's presence. It came by no less than 10 feet of where we were standing on the viewing platform, and then continued to glide into the woods.
