Description

The morning glory pool impressed me a lot when I visited the Yellowstone National Park several years ago. I got a chance to visit the park again in this fall. I decided to explore this spot again at night because I want to capture its beauty with Milky Way. The difficulty for shooting at this spot is that I have to stay in designated platform, so the position of my camera is restricted. Even with 15mm wide angle lens, capturing both the pool and the Milky Way in one shot is not possible, so I have to take three shots and stitch them together later. In order to make the color and the texture pop, I light-painted the pool and the surrounding area using my flashlight during shooting.
