Description

The full December moon, called the Cold Moon, rises above the glowing Kofa Mountains during sunset. I love these times of the month when the full moon and sunset collide, creating amazing scenes, especially in the desert. Although this was the Cold Moon, December in Southern Arizona is very pleasant and I was enjoying the evening in shorts and flip flops. This huge saguaro was near our camp spot, and it looked great next to the sunset lit mountains and moon.
