The park pass should always be a reminder you're entering a place that isn't tame and urban, but wild and foreign.
By slowing down you'll not only enjoy the parks more, you'll also protect their natural scenery and citizens who predate us.
While we own the parks, we are not their primary residents.
I think I saved this wolf's life by alerting the van to its presence seconds before. But they're adaptive animals; it may have crossed after the van just as safely.
